Kierbud app. Last updated: 17 October 2026

In short: your sites, visits, photos and notes stay on your device, or in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync in Pro. There is no account and no server of ours. The app sends only anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, never site names, addresses, notes, photos or client details. No ads, and your data is never sold.

What Kierbud does

Kierbud is a site manager’s notebook: sites, visits, annotated photos, recommendations, a calendar and PDF reports. It is not a construction log in the legal sense.

What you enter

Site names and addresses, client names, notes, photos, recommendations and, optionally, your own name, license number and contact details for reports. This may include personal data of third parties, so enter only what you need.

Where the data is

By default, in the app’s storage on your device. Photos do not go to your camera roll. GPS location is not saved. Device backups (for example iCloud Backup, if you turn it on) may include the app’s data, according to your system settings.

iCloud sync (Pro)

If you turn on sync in Kierbud Pro, sites, visits, photos and recommendations are stored in your private iCloud (CloudKit, an Apple service) and appear on your devices with the same Apple ID. Photos take up space in your iCloud. We have no access to this data. You can turn sync off in Settings.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera access only when you take a photo. Choosing photos from your library uses the system picker, without access to your whole library.

Location and maps

If you pick a plot on the map, the app shows Apple Maps and can use your current position (only after you tap the button and with your permission). The pin’s coordinates are sent to Apple to look up the address and, in Poland, to the public Geoportal service (ULDK, GUGiK) to identify the plot. They do not reach us. The pin and place details are saved with the site (and in your iCloud if you turn on sync).

Notifications

If you set a visit reminder, the app asks for notification permission and schedules it locally on the device. We do not use remote notifications for advertising.

Reports and backup

You create the PDF report and the backup file and send them yourself, however you choose (AirDrop, Mail, Messages, Files). Once sent, responsibility for further processing lies with the sender and the recipient.

Purchases

The Kierbud Pro subscription is handled by Apple. The app never sees your payment details or Apple ID, only whether Pro is active. You manage the subscription in your Apple ID settings.

Usage statistics and crash reports

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. They receive anonymous events (for example that a site was added, a visit was saved or the Pro screen was shown, with only numbers and category names), the app version, the device model and system version, an approximate country or city derived from the IP address, a random installation identifier and, if the app crashes, a crash report. They never receive site names, addresses, notes, photos, recommendations or client details. This is used only to fix problems and improve the app. The app has no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. Google processes the data under its own privacy policy as our processor.

Controller

The controller of the data collected by the app (usage statistics and crash reports) is IdeaApps. The basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in developing the app and fixing bugs. You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, to object, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The contents of your notes never reach us, so the user of the app is responsible for the data of the people named in them. For privacy matters write to IdeaApps: [email protected].

Feedback form

The support page and the app link to a Google Form where you can report an idea or a problem. What you type there reaches us through Google Forms and is covered by Google’s privacy policy. Using the form is optional.

Deleting data

Deleting a site in the app removes its visits and photos from the device (and from iCloud if sync is on). Deleting the app removes the data stored on the device.

Children

The app is not intended for people under 16.

Changes

If what the app collects changes, we will update this page and say so in the app.
