Common questions

Where is my data?

On your device. If iCloud sync is on (Settings → Sync with iCloud), it is also copied to your private iCloud and appears on your other devices. Details are in the privacy policy.

Does the app need an account?

No. Boxes has no sign-in.

The microphone button is missing.

It is shown only for languages the system can recognize on the device. Settings → Dictation says why it is hidden. Typing always works.

How do I print a label?

Open a box, tap the printer icon, choose the size and the code (QR, barcode or both), then Print or Export PDF.

How many boxes are free?

One project (archived ones included) and 10 boxes outside projects. The boxes of a project are not counted. A one-time purchase removes the limits.

How do I restore a purchase?

Settings → Restore purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I move my boxes to a new device?

Turn on iCloud sync on both devices (Settings → Sync with iCloud). Your boxes appear on the new device.
